Organized Caos

Organized Caos

Cova do Vapor is a small fishing village near Lisbon, there are almost no roads for cars, only small paths between each house. Everything looks like a complete mess, but is a very interesting and lovely caos.

Fishing at low tide

Two fishermen try to catch some fish at low tide, as they illumine water to attract the animals.
Cova do Vapor is a little village near Lisbon and most of the people depend on fishing activities, sometimes risking their own life.

Cova do Vapor is a small fishing village located near Lisbon. Because there was no urbanization plan, there are very narrow passages between some houses, and everything is different from what we are used to in modern places. It is, at some point, exotic.

Shot with 35mm film.

Sunset Fishermen

After the classes I usually go to Cova do Vapor to enjoy the sunset and to talk with the local fishermen.

I love this place!

Fishing

Portuguese people fishing by the River Tejo, while boats make their way to the Lisbon port. The colors may appear to be modified, but they aren’t, I shot this picture with an out of date 35mm film.
