Located at the northern coast of Alentejo, Alcácer do Sal is a very compact and beautiful place, even more interesting at dawn time.

Docked boat
Boats docked at the fishing harbour in Cova do Vapor. Some are docked with ropes, so people can pull them.
Morning Commuters
Every day people commute from Cacilhas to Lisbon by boat, crossing the river Tejo. Shot taken with 35mm film.

After the sunset
Cova do Vapor is a small fishing village located near Lisbon. Because there was no urbanization plan, there are very narrow passages between some houses, and everything is different from what we are used to in modern places. It is, at some point, exotic.

Fishing
Portuguese people fishing by the River Tejo, while boats make their way to the Lisbon port. The colors may appear to be modified, but they aren’t, I shot this picture with an out of date 35mm film.
Midnight
I was in Comporta, a very small portuguese village, and went for a walk at night. I went to Sado’s riverbed and it was almost empty, very quiet and the sky was very dark. As I was playing with the exposure settings, the clouds started to be visible and lots of light from Setubal too.
